A couple of weekends ago, you may know I was shooting at Templecon
One of my main goals was to shoot the spectacular Variete show, full of belly dancers, burlesque dancers, LED poi and hoop spinners and other performance artists. The evening was wrapped up by Wyck Aj – a very engaging and funny sideshow performer – who blew peoples minds by shoving his arm in a real, honest to goodness bear trap.
Of course, I had to capture “the moment” of it snapping closed – so as I was digging through my photos later on, I came across this rather brightly lit example
What the hell happened there! My flash is Canons highest end, most powerful version – but thats just silly. So, what *really* happened was that at the *exact* fraction of a second that my shutter opened and my flash popped, so did the flash of someone else in the audience – causing my shot to overexpose. Thing is, I quite like how it came out in the end – lots of drama
So, thank you to the other person who ended up with the matching, also over exposed shot – I hope your version was just as cool
